Nearly 60 years after abandonment, Sarah Muller purchased the property and today the newly restored cabin, with exquisite recycled beetle-kill blue pine cathedral ceilings, has the feel of a schoolhouse with many of the original antiquities intact: the fire drill sign, school bell, and a couple of desks restored into stools and bedside tables.
The eco-friendly cabin sleeps 4 comfortably with one king size bed and one queen futon couch. You can relax and read on the wrap-around porch as well.
The kitchen features an electric stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and organic coffee is supplied. A soap stone propane stove provides heat. Amenities include organic sheets, down comforters, soft towels, cork and tile flowering, logs and American clay earth plaster walls, tile shower, stereo with IPOD/phone clock and a recycled glass sink.
