Rustic, yet comfortable.

Owner Sarah Muller bought the cabin, moved it, and had it re-stacked at its present location in the historic mining town of Old Chico.

The newly renovated historic cabin comes complete with a warm inviting marbled gas fired stove, antiques, feather beds, down comforters, a Mexican tiled kitchen and bathroom. All linens and towels are supplied.

The cabin sleeps 5 comfortably with one queen, one full in loft, and couch. There is a bathroom with a shower, a well equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, excellent coffee and teas, blender, stove, toaster, pots and pans. Wireless Internet connection and a CD stereo are provided. At the end of the days explorations relax and enjoy a BBQ on your own private deck. The cabin has a library of trail guides and geology books, maps and a few games.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of items should I make sure to bring?

Besides your own food and shampoo, we recommend bring a good pair of hiking boots. Water shoes as well for walking around the hot springs nearby. Depending on the time of year we also recommend bringing some warm cloths or a bathing suit. 

Are there any movies to watch in the cabins?

No, currently none of have a TV or DVD player. We recommend downloading any movies or TV before coming for your stay. We do provide Wifi as well to access streaming services. 

What sort of cooking supplies & dishes are the cabins stocked with?

We supply pots, pans, coffee maker with filters, microwave, blender, cooking stove with oven, refrigerator, dishes. We also supply good coffee, teas, spices and cooking oil.

What sort of toiletries is the bathroom supplied with?

Bathrooms are supplied with toilet paper, Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap, towels, and washcloths.
